Ronja is a Danish singer-songwriter and multidisciplinary artist based near Silkeborg, Denmark.Her artistic work revolves around the feminine, the sensual, the erotic and the material. Moving through a sonically cinematic universe that feels both decadent and close to nature, Ronja creates songs rooted in atmosphere and emotional intensity, all with a distinctly feminine point of view.With a long-standing background in music, Ronja has studied at Berklee College of Music, sung in some of Denmark’s leading choirs and trained with renowned vocal and music teachers. She has released two EPs alongside a series of singles, carrying echoes of artists such as Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish, while inhabiting a world entirely its own.With the poems in the mini collection Højsommer, Ronja moves her practice towards an interdisciplinary direction between music and poetry.

Højsommer is a work of three poems about standing at the threshold of one's own life's summer — at the height of one's power, beauty, and erotic sovereignty.The work challenges the notion that love can exist independently of material reality. It insists on confronting love, desire, and exchange as they truly are — without romanticization or denial.What remains is a brutally simple question:Will he who professes love also act in service of what he loves?
